Questions on Beneteau 28.5 1988 as first boat with

My wife and I have become interested in a 1988 Beneteau 28.5, but have concerns about the handling and speed of the boat. Sailors are saying the Beneteau is heavy thus hard to point and slow hull speed. I like the boat just would like to get some additional opinions. Thank You, Karen & Chuck

Why not see for yourself? Ask the seller for a test sail and put her through the paces.
