questions for older H22 owners

looking for new sail and was wondering if this website is for the new hunter22 or will sails fit my 1981 hunter22 http://www.peaksails.com/hunter-22/

also while i spend most my time singlehanded sailing my h22 ,i have found it to be a big pain to cleat or uncleat the jib while tacking.
i have a couple cam cleats and was wondering where is a good place to mount them...above the cheek block would be my guess...

a small bimini would be nice,anyone have one on their h22,please provide info on where to buy and size..

last question concerns a downhaul. am thinking of running a small line up through hanks to top hank and lead through a fairlead back to cockpit,good idea or bad? how have you set up ..
last saturday was 10-15 knots and not alot of fun going forward to pull sails down.

On the subjects of sail downhauls(good idea) and jib sheet cleating I'll defer to H22 owners. I have sailed the H22 and nearly bought one, a fine boat. But I don't remember the details.

There are at least two pictures of the H22 with a bimini under "Boat Info". So we know it can be done: http://hunter.sailboatowners.com/index.php?option=com_album&Itemid=278&catid=51&page=model.

The problem with your link to Peak Sails is they do not provide luff/leech/foot info. There really isn't a "newer H22" though so it should be the right sail. Yeah, I know there is one. Hunter even posted it on Facebook. But the sail industry doesn't know about it.

I mounted cam cleats behind the wood piece behind the winches. I have them at some angle, not directly aft of the winch. Nothing specific, just whatever looked/felt right. Works great and lots faster than uncleating.

Downhaul. I have a small block at the base of my pulpit that I run it through but I only run it through the top hank and the end is tied to my jib halyard. This way they are always together. I clip it when not in use the the top right of the pulpit where the life line attaches. If you run it through all the hanks you will get so much friction that it's hard to pull down. I also ran a small line from the front of the toe tail up and over the live line every 6 inches back to the first stanchion on both sides. This way when I drop it, facing the wind, the wind does not blow the sail off the side of the boat later.
