Dear Friends- Can anyone help me with this? I have broken the plastic cover to the little fan on my foredeck--it covers the fan and sits just aft of the anchor cabinet--- and have been unable to locate a replacement on my '83 25 foot Catalina. Also, I am looking for a replacement plastic nut that tightens the forehatch. Thanks, anyone, for information on where I can order these parts. ---RAFA

Hi RAFA - I don't know if you can purchase just the plastic cover on the solar fan; you might have to purchase a new fan. West Marine or any good sized chandlery should have them. As for the hatch slider knob, check Catalina Direct, part Z1186. See related link below. Hope this helps! Trevor

We replaced our fan cowling
If you're describing a broken plastic cover (cowling) on one of those Marinco Nicro Solar fans, we were able to carefully remove all traces of the old one from the fan body using a Dremel tool. Marinco then provided us with new plastic covers (at no cost too). I contacted them by e-mail to ask about all this. Just do a web search for Marinco Nicro Solar Vents. They were extremely helpful.
