So I was sitting having lunch with my 92yr old Father, who is still quite on top of it, and we were looking out at the river and (2) large ships were having to pass in the rather narrow channel,
and he asked, "now when they pass do they make little dinghies, after all you can't see between them"....maybe?

Clearly age brings wisdom. What he didn't tell you is that the little boat-fry produced by this courtSHIP ritual :)eek:) stay under the surface as they make their way to the ocean, where they grow big by gorging on discarded plastic, derelict oil rigs and sunken wrecks. They surface and return to ports when mature. Most only become trawlers and party-boats, but the hardiest become big bulk carriers.

So then it would be necessary for these new vessel to be registered. I now understand why it has been so difficult for the government to ban plastic bags needed to feed their expanding tax base.

So do a lot of the women in his retirement community, at 92 his odds are pretty good. His current girlfriend is loaded and 12yr younger and takes him along on her traveling adventures/cruises. He has slowed down considerably in the last few years. He skied until he was 80 and he took me up to some Inca stone quarries at 14K alt. in the Andes, when he was doing some research, at 79. A Few week ago we had him out sailing with us. One of those western New York stae farm boys with a degree in Chemistry from Cornell. Worked for DuPont and was the inventor of Crofam. http://www.ptodirect.com/Results/Patents?query=PN/3067483

These are the times!
