In the past, my anchor was just tied to the bolts in the front of the hull, by a friend who did the rigging for me. There was nothing to keep the line from slipping loose. That friend is no longer in my life and I can't find a solid piece inside the boat to attach the line to. How do people usually do this? My boat has a solid wing keel with a through hull fitting for the anchor line to pass through (16ft Capri, I think the model year is 1992.

Put a cleat in!

Debra, do you have a cleat installed anywhere? If so, just use that and if not install a couple up front on the bow and on the stern. They aren't hard to install, if you need anyhelp send me a email at jusjoseph@yahoo.com.
