Hi Dave, I have a question for you or anyone out there who can answer it. I installed wheel steering on my 26 3 years ago. I have my engine controls on the pedestal. The engine is a 9.9 Honda. I want to connect my rudder to my outboard, the problem I'm having is I cant turn my outboard toward the starboard side due to the brackets for the engine controls hitting. My question being is there any way to extend my engine mount out a few inches to aleveate this problem? I know you've installed quite a few of these systems, thats why I'm asking Thanks, Pat

Brakets

Pat; First, thank you for asking me but I need one thing first. Is the wood or starboard(like plastic) bracket your motor rest on bolted directly onto the back of the boat. If the answer is yes, then you need to contact Hunter and request the metal brackets to extend your outboard further. This should solve your problem. If you already have the metal brackets that extend the brakcet out, then let me think about tahat one. In either case let me know Pat. Dave
