I have loved Odays for some time now, and next year I will be looking for one to buy. My question is, what length and model of Oday is the largest I can get, but still trailer and put in the water with a trailer. I had a 25 Grampian about 20 years ago, but would like to find the biggest Oday I can reasonably haul and put in without marina help. Thanks (Beachcomber)

272 is trailerable

The Oday 272 with the wing keel is trailerable. Being 9 feet wide you might need a permit in some states.

Consider the O'Day 240

For 9-years I trailed an O'Day 240. Trailed weight of boat and trailer was 4750 lbs. (Engine and gear added more.) I rigged a mast raising system that I could use single-handedly. (The mast with roller furling, is pretty heavy, and without the mast raising system, it is definitely a two-strong-person job.) The 240 has an enclosed head. The boat's interior is very "open" and is readily upgradeable with creature comforts, shelving, etc. The galley comes with a portable cooler. Here's a picture of how I changed that to a built-in cooler, and added some counter space and shelving. (The sink remained in the original location.)
