I think the previous owner repaired some fiberglass and moved the eye bolt lower for the trailer strap (or cable) to attach to the boat. The distance from the bottom of the rub rail to the center of the eye bolt is fifteen and one half inches. Can someone measure their boat in that area and tell me if I am in the ball park? Thanks, Tom C22 hull # 14020

Do you have an anchor locker?

Noting your hull number, I suspect you may have an anchor locker. If so, that anchor locker may make acess to the bow eye difficult. Futher, if the eye location was changed by the PO, then you probably should see some repair work on the anchor laocker. So, assuming you have an anchor locker that blocks the bow eye, I think your best corrective action would be to lower the trailer winch, again assuming you encounter difficulty with hauling the boat onto the trailer.
