Query to the UK

Sailors of the U.K.,

I am seeking any information that might help me track down Anne Miller
(born in Edinburgh, Scotland, in 1959), who wrote a book called Out of
the Blue about her solo transatlantic sail in 1986 in her Albin Vega
named Rupert. The book was published in 1988 by Ashford Press Publishing
with an address in Shedfield, Hampshire. I wrote this press 5 months ago
but haven't heard back--it seems they are no longer in business, since
they don't show up in a internet UK telephone directory. Web searches
for both her and her publisher have turned up no clues.

I am the editor of a collection of sailing narratives to be published
next summer by International Marine/McGraw-Hill. I'd very much like to
include her Vega story in the book (her own book is out of print--this
is one way to help keep it alive) -- but I've run out of ideas for
trying to find her. This is a last effort on the off-chance that some
U.K. Vega sailor may know something about her or have any ideas how to
track her down.

Thanks!

Hi Tom

I have been trying to find Annie Millar for a while as I also loved her
book. I
am the Newsletter editor in the UK for the Vega Newsletter and the Technical
Officer of VAGB. I have the address and phopne number of the owner of her old
Vega "Rupert". I know her father is a Vetinary and still lives in Scotland. We
have been trying to get hold of Annie so that we could serialise her book. If
you want the contact address of "Rupert" 's new owner then email me ta:

steve@...

Kind Regards
