We Already Pay !!

Those rescue personnel are on the payroll and their equipment is being used for practice whether they are "on patrol" or rescueing someone. We pay even if no one needs assistance. To the suggestion for licensing boaters and boat inspections, please note. Drivers licenses are nothing but revenue generators and auto inspections are a joke. Is that what you want?Neither Is likely to catch that bozo whose destined to get in trouble and we get more government on our backs.

same price for parking it or using it?

John: I believe that you would find tht the cost to fly one of these rescue craft is much more expensive than letting it sit in the dock or on the tarmac. We are looking at fuel, maintenance and overhalls. I agree that we pay for the personnel whether they are playing cards for on a mission, but that is not the case here. I think that someone that is truly in distress because of a misfortune should be rescued at no charge. But when we have small craft advisories and they decide to go for a "joy ride" that is much different. The purpose of government is for the health, welfare and safety of it citizens. It is not to rescue some A.H. that decides to climb the Sears Towers, charge out in the Molokai channel during a hurricane or some such stunt.
