Push Button Starter Switch

Hello, i have a 3gm30f and i also have this problem, when i push the switch, sometimes it start sometimes it only make a little click, as if my battery was dead, but then i keep on pressing it and eventually it start. Sometimes if i turn my ignintion key off and back on again, the push button would work... Could that be the solonoidvor is it just the button going bad?

I had this with my 1gm. I found the nuts on the battery terminals loose and the leads dirty and in very bad shape. I tightened and cleaned all the connections--back in June-- and has worked great until recently. I plan to replace as many of the leads that attach to the battery and check the other connections around the engine this week.

Btw, a lot of stuff in my oday 26 seems to connect directly to the cranking battery--like 5. Some make sense, like the battery charger. However some, like the water pump I think are also there.

I hate electrical stuff. Damned witchcraft. I don't understand it, but I guess I'll have to learn. . .
