Purpose of deck hardware

Purpose of deck hardware on Mac 25...
Pic 1- plate with threaded hole, one on each side of mast just outboard of shroud mount- purpose?
Pic 2- slider with adjustable eye on each side of cockpit near cabin - purpose?
Appreciate any input....

Picture 1 is a fastner where the end of the pole goes that supports your cabin roof when it is up.

Picture 2 are adjustible fairleads through which your Genoa sheets pass before being cleated off. If you have winches, wrap the sheet around a 2-3 times before cleating off.

Pic 1 is to accept the deck side of the baby stays for stepping the mast.
Pic 2 is an adjustable track for you head sail. The angle of the sheet should theoretically be pointing to the middle of the head stay. This angle changes in relationship to how much head sail you reef out.
