Hi, I purchased a Columbia 31 yesterday, never sailed in my life but thought it may be fun. I plan to spend the next few weeks cleaning and refitting and perhaps taking a course on sailing. The hull number is 97 and I have all the documentation from the original purchase, from the Columbia website it looks like it may be the last "31" built. Any information on conversion of the Atomic 4 to diesel and the approximate price would be appreciated. John

John, not sure about pricing, but Kubota makes a little diesel that is designed to replace the A4. I have seen them on ebay of all places, complete with tranny and motor mounts and all hardware, including instruments. Seems like the starting bids were around 5K, but not sure where they ended up in price. And congrats on your new boat.
