I've just hauled my boat after my first season and while removing all the interior things , I found that under the cushions in the forward v area that everything was wet. All told, there was maybe a gallon of water in the bilge and in the forward storage area under the v berth. All of this appeared to be rain water, not salty at all. I've been told to remove the bow pulpit, lifeline stantions, stern pulpit and deck hardware to re-seal all the thru deck holes where these are mounted. Where is the access to the forward pulpit backing nuts? I don't want to loosen them without being able to tighten them or get them off. I could cut access thru the side wall of the anchor locker and re-seal with a deck plate. Has this been done before? I don't think I'm leaking at the rear pulpit but I don't see how to get at the backing nuts there either. I could use some advice before attempting this. Others have told me that 1 gallon of water inside is nothing.
