Pulpit fabrication

Hi all,

I'm investigating a new bow pulpit and was wondering if anyone in the
U.S. has had one fabricated? I checked with Steve about the
availability of one, but it looks like shipping costs to the U.S. will
be as much as the pulpit.

If anyone has had a new pulpit made and can recommend a fabricator
(especally if they are in the Baltimore-Annapolis area), or any advice
you may have about making a new pulpit please let me know.

Thanks,

Hi, Tom

Have you tried Kato Marine in Annapolis (www.katomarine.com)? I haven't
dealt with them directly but I've seen a lot of their work. It's tops as
far as I'm concerned. Some of the folks that I know that have dealt
directly with them have been completely satisfied. I couldn't find a
listing for an Albin Vega bow pulpit on their website, but it may be worth
while to ask them if they could do it for you. They have done a lot of
custom work in the past.

Lyric didnt' have a pushpit and her pulpit isn't original equipment. Check out Taco Marine Or Taco Metal. Many kinds of fittings and tubing. We built our push pit out of it. We also used Taco products to build out solar panel mounts. They align horizontally and vertically which is essential to get maximum output from the panels. West and Defender carry them and items not in the catalog can be special ordered. You could probably build a pulpit with their products and the services of a canvas shops tubing bender. Walt
