pss vs. lasdrop

I'm in the beginning stages of replacing my very old (installed in 1985 with not a single drop until I burned it our after a haulout) Lasdrop dripless shaft seal with a new one. I've spoken to the people at Lasdrop about their product and it sounds like a very simple system. I'd like to hear about the PYI PSS dripless system and what makes it different and possibly better than the Lasdrop.

I installed a PSS last year on my 28.5 and love it. No water at all came through all season. Installation took about 3-4 hours, first time for the coupling being split so that took time, also cleaning the shaft to pass through the cutlass. I wouldn't advice installation unless you're out of the water.tom
