Both of our boats have them, and I love them. Zero drips. The only complaint I ever hear (and its not really a complaint) is the all-or -nothing nature of their operation. Stuffing boxes may drip but they rarely truly leak. That being said, I've never heard of a PPS seal totally failing.

Been a number of years, but when I had my Catalina 30, it had a PSS on board. The boat next to us somehow managed to tear their bellow which caused a mildly exciting amount of water. Of course, the same could happen with conventional stuffing box "hose". In all as long as it is properly installed and inspected, you should be fine. MainSail has some good pointers and such about stuffing boxes lurking around this board or his website.
