I have a 1997 Hunter with a teak and holly sole. I recently did a deep cleaning of the sole and now would like to bring back the color depth and character of the wood WITHOUT resorting to a varnish. What product(s) should I consider for the job? Thanks for any feedback. Ken

Formby Tung Oil

You might think about using Formby's Tung Oil available at Home Depot. I used in on my sole and it looks great. Tung oil is very hard and dries with somewhat of a satin finish. Best thing about it is I don't find it slick. If you ok with satin it's great. If you want high gloss I think you are going to have to go with varnish but watch out when it gets wet!
