Hunter have coated the electrical connections in the boat with some sort of black paint – presumably to reduce corrosion – does anybody know what this black paint is ?

liquid electrical tape

found in most hardware stores - at least that's what was used on mine. There must be an easier way to remove it than scraping but i never found one.

If you're worried about corrosion just buy a spray

can of silicone and have at it. You'll never have corrosion. Just be careful with the over spray. It's tough to remove. Don't know about Hunters black paint.

Hi Andrew, WM carries an anit-corrosion...

spray that is used on battery terminals and connectors to help protect against corrosion. It has a very dark purple color (almost black) to it when dry, which may be what Hunter used. I believe automotive and battery places carry it as well. Terry
