Proper Engine Gaging (RPM, Temp)

Has anyone added a Tach and/or a Temperature Gage on a Yanmar YSE12? I spoke with Mack Boring and they said that Yanmar did not have any accessories for that engine. I would like to add more engine info then just the current idiot lights. Any suggestions?

I don't know about your engine, but when I did the same thing for the 2QM15 in my H33, I used Stuart Warner guages for oil pressure and water pressure. Yanmar did make a tach for the old idiot light panel, and my boat is a 1980, so maybe they made a tachometer for yours. Ask around.
