Hi Jeff, 6 pads would be better but are not really necessary as 4 pads is OK and shouldn't be a problem. It's important however to understand that the bulk of the boat weight should be on the keel (75-80%). And that the pads are basically there to hold the balance and not the weight. Do check that they are at the proper height for the boat. If they are adjustable, bring them down before haul-out and adjust them to the proper height when the boat is brought on the cradle, just before it is released from the travel lift (or crane).
