I ordered a new strut from Beneteau USA and it is fiberglass and did not come close to fitting the existing slot cut for it. The original was brass and broke at the hull. I ground down the new fiberglass strut utilizing the original as a pattern and discovered air pockets and other problems. Beneteau offered to take it back (they are very honorable and as helpful as can be expected) but I might grind and repair it for use. My question is, do any of you know where I might find a stainless or brass/bronze strut from another source or have any suggestions? This vessel survived Hurricain Katrina with minimal damage even though it rode out of the Yacht Harbor on a surge and ended up on it's side in the park. Minimal water damage, scratches and no keel damage. What a tough, great boat. thanks, Mike Howell
