Good day all. I am looking for a propane tank for our 290. The tanks they sell at WestMarine and Boat/US are not of the same type as the tank provided on the 290? The tank has a concave bottom and does not look like a typical tank. She is a 10lbs. Where can I get a secont tank? Thank you for your help

propane

Go to a propane distributor, locally a big one here is Suburban propane. They have all sizes and shapes (catalog) and you can expect to pay about 1/2 of the cost in a marine store

One more thing..

Make sure your new tank is aluminum! I looked into a spare tank a few years back...they aren't cheap! I think if you brought your current tank into a propane dealer he could order one for you.

propance tank

I agree with Gail. I bought a second for our 410 at a local propane and grill dealer. All aluminum 10 lb. about 25% less than WM. Bryce S/V Spellbinder

Hunter Marine

I purchased my tank from Hunter for my 320. I attempted to purchased from the company that make them for Hunter but was not sure which one I needed. Mike (the Man) at Hunter knew. Price was the same as tank manufacture. It fit molded nest perfect.
