I have the basic two burner Seaward Princess propane stove. This weekend one of the burners stopped working entirely. When I depressed the knob to light the burner, there was no "clicking" sound. The other burner works fine. Anybody have any advice as to what the problem and fix is? All help is appreciated. Thanks.

Not all that basic

If your stove clicks, you have an electronic igniter. My boat's stove (truly the basic model) has a manual sparker, just like your gas grill at home. Troubleshooting... 1. Can you light the problem burner with a match? If so, then the problem is in the igniter or its circuitry. If not, the problem is propane supply. 2. Since the other burner ignites, we can assume that the circuit breaker is set correctly. It's most likely that either a wire to the igniter is loose, or the igniter itself is defective. Swap the igniter on the good burner with the bad burner. Does the problem move to the other burner? If yes, replace the igniter. If not, then you have a wiring problem to track down, possibly a bad switch in the knob. Just went through this on the home stove. Paul sv Escape Artist h336
