Propane?
Jeff, propane doesn't have as much energy/gallon(BTUs) as diesel. You will very rarely find a boat with more than 10 gallons of storage for propane aboard, more often no more than 5. If you get a fairly good sized generator, say between 2000 and 5000 watts, it would go through all of your propane in just a few hours. A diesel generator generally gets its fuel from your main fuel tank. As diesel has many more BTUs/gallon and most boats have at least 20 gallons aboard, it just makes a lot more sense to use diesel instead of propane. Ron
