You'll get many answers and each one's will be the best (sorta like religion, politics and where to mount your radar). Anyhow, I put a KIWI on my Hunter 38 two years ago and have been very happy.

John is right everyone has their favorite. I had a Martec 2 blade and was completely satisfied. I understand they have a 3 blade folder. Mine wasn't geared, didn't require lubrication and worked every time for over 15 years until I sold the the boat. I think Martec is still the least expensive. I think you can guess which prop is my favorite. Ray T

Like they say, everyone has their own favorites. Mine is the Max 3 blade classic. Had no problems with it for nine years on a Hunter 380. Now have a Hunter 27 also with a Max 3 blade prop. Because it feathers both ways it is a perfect prop for going in reverse--same power and control as going forward. It is standard equipment on Swans and Oyster boats.

Ditto the MaxProp. Installed by previous owner on our 99 H340, greased about every two years, and no other maintenance or problem. Almost no prop walk in reverse.
