when i changed my engine last year i questioned you about the prop saver device you sell that goes between the two halves of the shaft coupling..I purchaced one and installed it.....well now a friend has informed me that i should have some sort of bonding between the two coupling halves to pervent galvanic action on the prop and shaft....????? should i put some sort of connection between the engine and the shaft as it now appears isolated due to the insulating properties of the shaft saver device...........oh hell another thing to work on, as if i don't have enough to do already thanks chet p

Complete isolation

Hello Chet, When the unit was installed you achieved a complete isolation. If you choose to have a bond I would suggest that you install a jumper wire. This can be done by attaching a wire between two opposing bolt heads. Please let me know if you need any other information. kwoody@pyiinc.com Kevin.

Strut

If your boat is like mine the strut is isolated also, (no ground). I have decided to leave mine like this the pros and cons from all the experts lead me to believe it would be the best solution. Jim

kevin ??

is complete isolation a good thing or bad? It still seems that my zincs are wearing down, not any differently than before, and will this mean that i have a floating ground on the boat? My concern is that i don't eat up my new $400 prop and $300 shaft thanks chet
