Hello All, I finally got my new prop. So I am anxious to install the new shaft and prop. My question relates to the nut that holds the prop on the shaft. On the old setup there were several holes drilled in the nut so a pin could be run through the nut and shaft. The new nut has no holes. Am I suppose to drill a hole when everything is tightened down? Do I not need a pin to keep the prop nut from coming loose? Thanks, Tim Pinkham ~La Juin~

nut washer

All u need is a flat round piece of stainless stainless steel larger in diameter then the prop nut which fits exactly (as per picture attached) in the shaft between the prop and nut, But leave in the centre a tooth which is bent 90 degrees and fits exactly at the hollow key of the shaft. Tighten the nut and then hammer over 2 sides of the washer backwards on the nut. I have seen this used widely on Beneteau boats. Mario
