We have one on our tohatsu 4hp for the dinghy and it has saved many dings in the prop. The guard on the Tohatsu 9.8hp for our Hunter tends to collect sea weed and may not be worth the security. Might be different in a lake. Could also be useful if the rudder could touch the prop.
