I have a 1994 Beneteau Oceanis 351 and the numbers on the old prop cannot be read. The diesel engine is a Perkins. Would anybody know what propeller this boat would have come from the factory with? Also, I would appreciate any recommendations on the best place to purchase a new prop. With only a small shaft nut for sacrificial metal, I am afraid over the years my prop has become a bit of sacrificial metal itself. Thanks -

I believe it's a 3 blade fixed prop 16 x 12 RH.

Someone else can confirm.

Good Luck

You can get a "collar" zinc that bolts around the shaft. You have to know your shaft diameter.

I would think this is a perfect time for a folding/feathering/auto prop. I love mine.

I am still hunting for a new prop. I did have a folding prop at one time, but put the stock prop back on the boat. I had a vibration problem at low RPM I could never resolve. I would love to purchase a stock prop from someone who converted their prop to a folding / feathering variety. Thanks for the reply

We bought a maxprop for our 321 and love it. Very smooth. No prop walk when backing up.

Have a three bladed Maxprop on a First 36.7 and am very satisfied -- pricy but well worth the expense. I also buy the zincs (magnesium actually because of fresh water) from boatzincs.con.

Hey Tejas,

I also use the magnesium 'zincs'. I clean them off each Fall with a Dremel and put them back on. I will order new ones from boatzincs when needed...
