I'm interested in putting on some type of line cutter on our 1981 H33. For some reason we seem attracted to crab pots. We've wrapped them during heavy weather, clear skys during a flat day crossing Florida Bay, night, it doesn't seem to matter, we'll find them and Wind Walker will keep them. After reading the archives it seems that the strippers and spurs come most recommended. Has anybody with a H33 used either of these on their boats and how was the fit. Last time we hauled her there was not a lot of room from the end of the shaft to the rudder. Is there room for a set of spurs on this boat?

Spurs work fine on the 33

Spurs fit very easily on the 33. Installation is much easier when hauled out. Be careful that you do not use screws that are too long, or you can compress the cutless bearing...not a good idea! My 33 loved to attract anything that it could possibly wind around the shaft, too....a real kelp eater. The spurs work great.
