I don't know about others, but the 1990 Legend 35.5 has virtually no storage for food or clothing of any consequence. So I had someone pyut in a set of cabinets for me down in Mexico where I keep my boat. It was actually quite interesting. The first thing he did was make patterns using door panel skins cut to various widths (frtom 1", 2" & 3" - then glued together with hot glue gun) then he made an exact pattern of the fitment for each piece. What you get is a good fitting set of cabinets - hard to do any other way because of the compound curves back there. Now I have space galore. Also added a 110V outlet and USB charger near the aft end of the sleeping cabin.
Also, I threw one in of the main cabin/salon. That curtain is a rod bent in a semi-circle to provide privacy for anyone changing clothes. Lots of standup room.
Used Mexican Cedar, went to town and had a guy create a stain to make the Mexican Cedar look like teak.... Has anyone else done something like this?
I might be able to get the patterns transferred to paper if anyone is interested. I would have to charge you something-I paid a pretty penny for these cabinets. But what you would get would be a ready made template to build your own cabinets.
