I have just aquired a severly neglected 1978 ODay 30 that I plan to restore and live-aboard, full time. The keel and the hull are in excellent shape, and the yanmar diesel works well, but thats abut it! I want to refit her with as many original parts as possible, but have had no luck with finding a salvage/used web sight or link for used parts. I also need an owners manual. If anyone has any info, insight or advice, please write! Thanks!

what's needed?

Depending on what you need, I would think most of it can be found locally.Lumber yards can supply plywood etc. There's probably someone who can make cushions etc. Sinks, stoves & such can be found through RV dealers. Also, check the Oday group on Yahoo.In my area we have a classified book that comes out every other week with ads for all sorts of gear. Maybe you have something like it in your area.And don't forget the catalogs.Good luck.

Under Resources on this page, go to sailing sites and you'll find Rudy and D & R. I don't know what he has for a 30 but his page will tell. He may also know where to find a parts boat. Good luck.Mike
