I recently purchased a 1974, 25' Hunter. She was on a flatbed trailer for the last three years, with the keel removed and sitting beside the boat, and in need desperate need of rescuing. Needless to say, the keel is EXTREMELY heavy, and reinstalling it will be no east task. I was just wondering if anyone has done keelwork themselves, or if they could give me a ballpark figure as to what it will cost to get a Marina to do the work. I have access to most of the equiptment I think I would need, and a bit of fiberglassing experience. If anyone could give me any pointers, I would greatly appreciate it!
