Good morning all,

I would like to know if anyone has experience with the towing dispatch services provided by Progressive. They now hold our insurance policy. However, I happily, haven't had to be towed this year.

Thank you in advance,

SM

Just wait the wind will return and you can sail back home. Or buy one of those plastic paddles (oars) from Wal-Mart and paddle you 45' boat home

No problem. So the answer is no so call progressive and ask. They don't own a tow boat service so they obvious use local tow service so call them and see if progressive pays there bills. The only experience I have with progressive is they dropped me after first claim but it was a auto accident so different and not even my falt. I wasn't even driving

I am insured with Progressive, but have the Boat US unlimited tow package. That worked well the one time I used it. Sorry I can't be more helpful.
I needed to go through a couple of draw bridges, and you are required to transit under power, so Sailing home wasn't an option.

I have Progressive, haven't needed towing, actually didn't know it came with towing. But I did have a claim with them a few years back and was SUPER pleased! It was handled fast and efficiently with zero fuss, the adjuster was nice and quite knowledgeable. Plus because they have that disappearing deductible for years with no claims my deductible was 1/10 of a Boat Buck! ($100)

I had progressive on a speedboat I used to own in Fl. They were lowest price but fortunately I never had to use them. If Progressive charges extra for the service then I would consider Boat US. They are all over the Chesapeake and it costs me 150 per year to tow you home from anywhere in the bay. I would seriously look into Boat US if the Progressive service is costing you anything.

Not sure I understand your issue bawlmer. Towing is not included with BoatUS (Now GEICO) insurance. You pay separately for towing. So, Why would paying extra for towing at Progressive be an issue?
