ProFurl B35S Drum Flip?

Good afternoon all,
I sent my 2001 Hunter 380's genoa for a new sacrificial leech and am delighted--except that it is sewn on the wrong side! Consequently when I furl in the installed counter-clockwise fashion, the leech isn't protected. So I flipped the furling line to allow it to furl clockwise, but the recess for the furling line's stopper knot are designed for only the one way. Now the stopper-knot sits very proud on the drum and makes for an awkward furl; so... I'm thinking I should be able to flip the drum over 180 deg, thus allowing me to use the recess for that stopper knot.
I've heard that I can remove the drum without any big teardown but I'm just not getting anywhere. I see a where the drum splits in two, and I see each side has a barbed release as part of the plastic, but I release those and nothing budges, despite gentle prying. I see no set screws to release.
The furler is a Profurl B35S. The online installation manual that I found is not helpful. Any advise? More forceful prying on old brittle plastic?

I would bring the sail back to sail loft and demand that they correct it. They put it on backwards; they need to fix it. Their mistake.

Fixing the sail would be straight forward.

Rather than opening the drum can you untie the stopper knot and run the line into the other side. Seems that would reverse the lay of the knot on the drum.

In the images the line looks large. Do you have room on the drum for all the line needed to furl the sail? A smaller line means a smaller knot and more room on the drum for more turns of the line.
