Procedure for trailer lauching a keel boat

I am considering buying an Oday Mariner with a fixed keel. This boat draws about 3.5 feet and is on a trailer with four jacks. The rear jack pads are set to about 4.5 feet off the ground. The trailer doesn't have a tongue extension. Will I need a steep ramp to launch off of? Most ramps in my area are geared more toward bass boats (not very steep). Thanks for any suggestions.

Be Careful!

Here is the solution I have used and seen others use. It requires a wheel on the tongue jack. Back the trailer down until the wheels are at the water's edge, carefully chock the wheels, then unhook the trailer from the tow vehicle. Tie a long, heavy rope or chain securely to the trailer and tow vehicle, take up all the slack, and remove the chocks. You can then back the entire trailer into the water until the boat floats free. Make sure the wheel on the tongue jack is straight before starting to back in!
