for an X ???
not sure it makes a difference which year/model.... but would be good to confirm.note: I have a 1988 26d.while I have not replace this boats rub rail, I have worked on others.basically you have an aluminum strip screwed to the hull and a plastic insert that covers the screw heads.the cover is squeezed and pressed into place. often it helps to heat the plastic/rubber and it it with a rubber mallet.(but the rubber mallet was used on rubber rub rails, (channel), with a rope or plastic insert.)so, you need to pry out the plastic insert to get at the screw heads... unscrew them, and install your new rail.-note: you want to use some sealant like lifecalk on the screw heads to seal the holes. (some use 5200). and some seal the bottom lip of the rail too.-photos of your project would help too...ok?
