As I had written in a different thread, my Jabsco would not pump water from the thru-hull to the toilet. This happened after my spring servicing on this 2-yr old toilet. I researched the problem and decided that I needed the Top Valve Gasket.I received it yesterday and found that a spring was included with the new gasket. Not finding a spring in the pump assembly, I called Customer Service at Jabsco and talked with Mike. Mike tried to explain where to place the spring, but since I am so thick-headed, he said that we would take a picture and e-mail it to me. I received the picture and found that there should have been a spring attached to the underside of the Valve Cover. When I went to the boat to install the parts, I looked for the old spring. Not to be found. Maybe it fell into the pump assembly? Anyway, I still had a problem with the installation of the Top Valve Seat. I finally tried placing it UNDER the gasket in a spot where it almost clicked in place. Did I say I was thick headed???Well, I am happy to say that we can flush once again, and draw in fresh water for rinsing. I recommend that anybody with this very popular toilet call Jabsco with their service problems. You will get a quick and accurate answer without having to buy an expensive re-build kit.As for the PH-II Peggy, I re-measured and I would have to relocate the teak shower seat plus more if I changed toilet brands. There is less than 1/2 inch clearance between the bottom of the teak seat and top of the toilet seat. Thanks Peggy for all of your advice.
