We own a 2005 44AC Hunter. We have a 3 burner stove with oven. We are trying to find replacement knobs for the burners with no success. Can anyone suggest where we can buy replacement knobs?

Welcome to the site and not to pick on you, but we get so many questions where where a quick search of the web could provide an answer in seconds. This may be one source but there are also dozens of others.

As one of our others members here is so oft heard to rant "The internet is you friend, use it ! ! ! " Have I got that right, Stu ?

Kathryn, welcome to our little world, and that's kinda an "in" joke from Ralph. I was taken to task by a few skippers for suggesting the use of Google to find even (gasp!) boating stuff. :)

A Google (or any internet engine) search will often find what you are looking for faster than asking on some boating forums. If it didn't. they wouldn't have invented the LMGTFY. :D:D:D And most times Google tells you where to buy, too.

That said, this forum is a great resource for "the next step"; like: "I've found my Princess stove make & model, does anyone know a vendor in Saskatchewan who is open on Tuesdays with a full moon?"

Sometimes knobs are transferable. ITWMB, I'd take a knob to a good hardware store or HD and see if they have something similar that would fit and that you would like.

Good luck.

Life LPG Cylinder Recall

That was a good link to the Shure Marine Princess Stove. Checked it out and one thing led to another. At the bottom left of their Home Page is a Recall Notice for Life Cylinders. These were really popular items in the marine stors the past few years and now there is a recall notice on some of them:

Shure Marine is where I go to get my CNG cylinders refilled and located in the Ballard district of Seattle near the ship canal. It’s a small store in square footage but they specialize in heating items and have a huge inventory of all kinds of stuff that one might need to put together a project involving just about anything connected with propane.

Most stores nowadays tend to stock the stove or heater but these guys have all the little pieces, and the knowledge, that it takes to get it to work.

I have bought these before from the store on this site. Ask Phil or just go to the store and look under 44AC parts.

To all, I turned to this site after no success on the internet. So much for that idea!

Found them on THIS site? WoW! I’m impressed!

Who would have thought Phil & Co. would even have access to stove knobs??? Amazing, but way to go! Speaking of which, what’s with the Princess stove, anyway, where one has to buy replacement knobs? Do they melt, fall off, set screw gets stripped, or what?
