Prime Pump

Hey all, can someone tell me how to prime the small pump that empties the ice box to sink? seem to have lost prime and cant get it going again. 1979 O'Day 28

This is probably an aftermarket setup so it would depend on the pump and where it is.

Riachard, it's mounted between the galley sink and ice box on the counter top. Believe it was put in to get rid of the "drain to bilge" so i can just pump any ice box "clean water to the sink. Also it is just a small whale "flipper" type pump which i 've learned is self priming, guess i just need a kit to repair or replace. thanksfor your reply just trying to cut corners from the wealth of knowledge on the site!
