Pricing an old daysailor.....?

I know there must be a place I could look this up but. . . can someone give me an idea what an old 12' daysailor might be worth?It is in OK condition with sails. No motor, no trailor. It's pretty much been ignored, sitting out in the trees all alone. I'd love to make the guy an offer but have no clue what's fair.ThanksDan

Prices all over the map

Dan -Its really hard to value the boat without more information but I'd shoot low and see what happens. Around here - Portland, ME area - a perfect Sunfish well bring around ~$1000. A ratty boat can be had for $100 almost any Saturday if you drive around enough and look at the yard sales. A Javelin would tend to go for similar prices. I'd offer him $100 and see what happens, then take it from there.Justin - O'day Owners' Web
