Prettiest Boat at the Show....

Unimpressed

I have not seen the Friendship, but I have seen the Alerion and was able to talk with designer Gary Hoyt while viewing the boat. I was unimpressed. To me, these boats do not give the customer much for the money. A half mil will buy you a Valiant 40 that is probably much stronger, has just as good of joinery, and a hell of a lot more equipment and features. I think these boats are a great scam to seperate rich people from their money - like a Mercedes Benz.

Boat show

I enjoyed the Boat Show in Annapolis and liked meeting Warren and talking about boats with him. Nice to see a few other posters here show up there, too. The Good Old Boat people are very nice. It's fun to look at all the new boats and I always get a few ideas for my boat from looking at all the new boats there.
