Not many folks add this to smaller boats
Why? Many reasons: 1) lot's of juice needed, so you may have to add batteries 2) You will have to run very large & expensive battery cables the length of the boat to get power at the bow 3) Power windlass' are expensive (1K)! 4) Smaller boat means smaller anchor, many other options to get that anchor up! You might ask the forum how they get thier anchor up & I bet you can find a much better alternative than spending $2K. Here's one - Use your existing winch (hopefully on the mast) to raise the anchor. a few wraps of the rode (not chain) & off you go!
