Hi, the outlets on my boat worked fine when I arrived yesterday. I took my Hunter 28 out for a few hours and when I plugged into shore power upon my return, my outlets inside the boat didn't work. Anyone have suggestions or similar experiences?

I'm not familiar with the 28. I think you have a control panel like mine. The 'Outlets' switch is a breaker. You probably have checked it already. Your AC outlets should be on a GFCI. The first one on the circuit manages the 'load' or the other outlets downstream. Look for the GFCI outlet and see if the reset button needs to be pushed back in.
That's my advice anyway, not knowing your system.

Do you have a light on the cord that should be lit? I always check the boat first, but with all the work that goes on at our club the power is sometimes off to the entire slip and sometimes just at our pedestal.... Pat

The GFI outlet on our H28 was in the head. The shore power cord on our boat was hardwired to the main panel.

As already stated, it is probably the GFI. Look for an outlet that resembles this...

and push the red button back in.

At our marina, the power box on the dock has trip switch. It may look on, but push it hard to off to reset. Just another check.

I should have added that once my neighbor left his power cord laying on the dock with the power still on. I turned it off to avoid any potential accident. Hope this doesn't cause a stir, but power should always be turned off at the dock box before you leave the slip.

I just had a very similar situation on my 91 H28. I left the boat for a week after staying aboard for three days. When I came back, the plug outlet on the port side on the stove cabinet wall was dead. I checked/reset the CB which is on the shorepower box in the laserette. Still no go. I then checked the GFCI in the rear state room on the closet wall. It would not reset. I then installed a new one. It was connected to the load connections, and I installed the same way. Still, I have three of the four outlets dead. I have not gone any farther with my trouble shooting. When you fix yours, give me a clue. I am thinking I will have to start taking plugs apart and checking out each circuit. It is in the 90's so I have been putting it off.
