Potential diesel heater location on a Vision 32

Hi, I've been considering purchasing a diesel air heater to take the chill out over the slightly colder months here in the NW. I'm still on the fence as to whether a diesel water heater (wiht heater exchanger for air heat) might be the way to go, but at least for now, I'm reasonably sold on the air heater. So, I am considering an Espar (eberspacher) model, although I'm not sure of the size yet (thinking like a D3L or so). The question is where to put it? I'm thinking of the starboard side cockpit lockers - either the big one that is easily accessible or perhaps the aft locker where one gets to the overboard discharge thru-hull. Anyone out there added one of these heaters to their V32 and want to provide some advice? The other debate is whether to go with an air heater or a water heater - both would be diesel fired, but I'm entranced by the thought of having the capability of generating both hot water AND heat on the hook. Any thoughts on this debate from the experienced amongst you? Currently, I have a little 3k btu catalytic propane fired heater with fan. It is just a coleman model and does in fact heat the boat quite well, albeit a very damp heat. However, I thought I'd solicit some opinions and thoughts from this audience before diving into the project.... thanks, matt

heater location

We have a espar in our V32 and in mounted in the starboard aft cockpit locker. It fits well and of course close to a fuel supply and Battery. We have 3 outlets one in the head one in the aftcabin and one in main cabin. The duct work comes in through the aft cabin s/board sideover the drive shaft to starboard through the hanging locker behind the oven to the first locker port side to a vent.most of the duct work is metal pipe. Hope this helps. Good luck. Prologue 1 V32
