Potable water system problem on 2013 Catalina 315

Attempted to flush out my potable water system today, but after filling the tank, can’t get any water to either the head or the galley. A steady stream of water comes out somehow behind the main bilge area, requiring use of the sump pump. Don’t know where that’s coming from, and don’t know how to get water to the faucets. Boat is relatively new to me, so I’m still not certain about some of the systems. Any guidance?

Congratulations on your new sailboat!!

Fun learning the systems on a new boat. Suggest:

1. Reviewing the owner's manual plumbing diagram.
2. Check pump functionality.
3. Trace plumbing lines from tank to end users and fittings for tightness with pump on. Tighten, where required to mitigate water leakage and air infiltration that can cause vapor lock.
3. Systematically operate faucets, head one at a time.

There are hot and cold drain valves on the 315 at the very stern of the under-floor bilge hatch… almost under the hot water heater. They are white PVC. They probably are open so the water is being pumped out.
Look for them and close them. Good luck!

When I first saw these on my boat, I had no clue what they were. I posted this thread asking about them. Isolating Taps?

Could be open water filter housings. You have to find all these potential water line openings yourself as every boat is different. Peggy might chime in on how to shock treat your water system.

Thanks all for your suggestions. It turns out the spherical water tank inside the water heater is apparently cracked, probably from inadequate winterization procedures before I bought the boat. Water just pours out the back of the heater. So, another $480 down the drain (so to speak). But it will be nice to have good, reliable potable (and hot!) water.
