I was putting the boat to bed this evening after a wonderful day of sailing on the bay. I went to close the ports and the starboard port (over the stove) hinges disintegrated as I closed it. (no undo pressure was used). Can anyone help me with the following? (Boat is 1995 H26) 1. What is the make and model number of the port and where can I find a replacement. 2. Can I buy just the opening part of the port, or should I (do I have to) replace the whole thing (frame and latches "appear" to be in good shape) 3. Has anyone replaced their ports with a different model? If so, which one? Was it hard to do? Thanks for any help provided.

Call Hunter

Call Hunter and ask for Mike Thomas. I have a 1995 and replaced both lens on my boat. You have to remove a pin on each end of lens to remove, then drive back in very carefully. Pin only drives in one way and removes in reverse. Fluted end is the end that was drove in so drive on plain end to remove. Take your time and watch you don't bind and break plastic hinges.

Thanks George

I'll give Hunter a call in the morning. From what you describe, it sounds delicate, but doable. Out of curiosity, why did you have to replace yours? Did your lens hinges break as well? Does the plastic just get brittle after 5 years? If so, I'm thinking that I should replace both at the same time. Thanks again
