A couple of the white plastic portlight window knobs on my 28.5 are cracked and/or broken entirely. Anyone know where to dig-up replacements??? I think that they are made by Bomar..but I am uncertain!!

window knobs

My window knobs also cracked, and I mail-ordered them from Bowmar. They work just fine now.

Bend over "please"

James: Just got off the phone w/Bomar. The part number for the white knobs is GP902-01W and the price is $4.50 EACH for just the knobs. If you need to knobs w/spindles and pins they are about $10.50 each. You can also special order from West Marine (but no discount).

Cheap Alternative

The previous owner had replaced the broken knobw with wing nuts. Not as asthetiaclly pleasing, but cheap and functional.

Also this!

The wing nuts referred to below are the same size at the wing nuts on your batteries. Make good temporaries. Got any old ones? Try them until you can get the new ones. Also, Defender Industries has replacement types that are the "flip" type in their catalog. I bought some once. They were cheap, tensionable and worked just fine.
