We have 1984 34'. I need to replace my portlight screens. One frame is broken. Has anyone ordered screens and/or replacement frames? Where did you find them? Thanks, Ruth Ann

You can buy new from

Bomar Pompanette at 603-826-5791 that was the number in 1994! There are two sizes, the three that open to the cockpit, and the other 6. I just re screened mine, I removed the old screen, cleaned the plastic with my random orbit sander with 100 grit paper, that cleans most of the old adhesive, I then put wax paper down, laid the screen on top,and stretched the screen with two pieces of inch square, 2 foot long, wood nailed to the workbench. I used construction adhesive,"liquid nails". I spread the adhesive from the tube in a very thin layer arround the flat side of the plastic frames, and placed them on the screen, leaving a space between them, I put a piece of cardboard over top of the frames and put weights on the cardboard. I let them dry overnight, in the morning, I cut the frames from each other, carefully pealed the wax paper off, let stand in the air for another day to dry the wax paper side. I then did a final trim with a razor blade, New screens! If your frame is just cracked, you may be able to repair them with crazy glue? Best of luck.

need dimensions

Ruth, I am also looking for screens and called Mark plastics. Mark only makes the fixed port replacements, not the opening ports. I then called Pompenette(?) and they have replacement ports if you give them the dimensions. Delivery in 2-3 days in stock, 2-3 weeks out of stock. I don't have the dimensions handy. Need to go out and measure. Paul Bryan H34, WhisperIII Sodus Bay, Lake Ontario, NY
